Deanna Wagner, MS/CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years experience providing consultations and training in the area of assistive technology with an emphasis on augmentative communication. She works with educators and families to achieve goals in the area of AT selection and implementation through Southwest Human Development and Madison Elementary School District. She also provides AAC training to adults at Valley Life Adult Day Treatment Program. She has presented at local, national, and international conferences.
Laurel Richardson Buell, MAEd, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with 30+ years experience; the last 16 years specializing in assistive technology. In addition to working in public schools, Laurel works as part of a team for Southwest Human Development, conducting AAC evaluations in the state of Arizona.
Patty Ashby, MNS/CCC-SLP,
is a speech/language pathologist with 17+ years experience working with assistive technology. She currently works at a public school, is on the AT team at Southwest Human Development, and works with families and school teams as a trainer / consultant for assistive technology
Caroline Musselwhite, EdD, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with 35 years experience, the last 30 years specializing in assistive technology. In addition to consulting in public schools throughout the states, Caroline provides workshops worldwide, and writes books and software for educators, students, and families.
Lisa Gray, MS CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with 5 years of experience. Her experience and interest in AAC started in graduate school, completing her master thesis on AAC speech output and language aquisition. She has been a member of the AT team at Southwest Human Development for 3 years as an AAC evaluator and trainer. She has also served as a speech-language pathologist and AT team member in a public school for the past 2 years.
Victoria Sucato Riggs, M.S., CCC-SLP graduated with her Master's degree from Northern AZ University and was nominated Most Outstanding Summers-Only Student from her class. She began her career in Phoenix, AZ, and has since moved to Seattle, WA where she is working at a public high school. Vicki has 6 years of experience under her belt.
Anthon McLaws, MS, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with 16 years of experience working with assistive technology. He is the owner of Therapy One, a company providing pediatric therapy services in homes, schools, and facilities throughout Arizona. His passion is adaptive play and he pretty much plays all day, every day.
Marilyn Willcoxon, M.S., CCC-SLP has been a SLP focusing on Speech Language Technology support for since 1992. She has worked in both public and private school settings, as well as for Southwest Human Development as an Assistive Technology Specialist since 2006. She has taught classes in Augmentative Communication for the NAU Summer program and currently is a consultant for Chandler, Pendergast, and Nadaburg School Districts. She continues to enjoy working both with teachers and students.
Gayle Wiens B.S.P.T. has 27 years of pediatric experience focusing on young children birth-5. She has special interests in children with severe challenges, seating and positioning, cortical vision impairment, and assistive technology. She currently works with Southwest Human Development in Early Intervention and Assistive Technology. Her work with Assistive Technology includes training in the use of power wheelchairs, augmentative communication evaluations (when paired with a speech therapist) and working with the new ADAPT shop to provide custom solutions for young children with disabilities.
